Our mission

The mission of The Williams Honors College is to inspire intellectually curious scholars within an inclusive community of excellence at ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷. We provide unique academic experiences for our students, including opportunities to engage in challenging curricula and research within all academic colleges of the university. We foster an environment that promotes transformational growth through experiential learning, service, cultural experiences, and study abroad. The Honors Experience develops graduates who contribute to their local and global community through their lifelong respect for learning.

The Williams Honors College

Community College Pathway: Stark State College

Honors Admissions

ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷’s (ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷) Williams Honors College will admit Stark State College (SSC) transfer students who have completed an associate degree and fulfilled the requirements of the Honors Program at SSC. Admitted students must enter a bachelor’s degree program at ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷.

Articulation of Honors Courses from SSC

Students enrolled in SSC’s Honors Program will have a maximum of 12 hours of their honors courses applied toward ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷’s Honors Program. Once admitted, students must satisfy the requirements of the Williams Honors College, including the Honors Colloquium courses and an Honors Research Project.

Students enrolled in SSC’s Honors Program will have access to the following prior to matriculation at ÎçÒ¹ÉñÆ÷:

  • Honors College Speaker Series and other events
